Our pottery classes work on a club-based rolling monthly membership model, not a set timeframe of a certain number of sessions or weeks.
You can continue your session membership every month, until otherwise indicated.
Sessions can be booked via the booking blocks on the Home Page or directly on the booking platform. Session booking can be done up to 24 hours before a session start and up to 3 months in advance.
Sessions are limited and subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis, which is why we encourage you to book your sessions as soon as possible.
Class duration is 2.5 hours and this includes everything: all clay, glazes, the use of studio tools and equipment, storing of pieces, and firing of all work (with some exceptions depending on size).
Our classes are freestyle "open studio" sessions where we encourage everyone to create in any type of pottery method they are interested in - there is no specific or set "course" outside of the specific One-Day Workshops. We will provide you with the know-how and guidance to create whatever you wish, but we can also leave you to do your own thing.
Our studio has facilities for all types of hand building, as well as two pottery wheels that can be used at any time.

See our Home Page for all session days and times. Please use the booking system to see and book available spaces in these sessions.
Studio sessions run for 2.5 hours, once a week, for either 4 or 5 weeks of each month.
If you are running late you can still join the class but any missed time cannot be made up at the end of the session.
Please note the start and end time for your session and be aware that tutors have a short window to ensure that the studio is prepared for the next session.
Please try not to arrive more than 10 minutes early for your session as I will likely still be busy prepping the studio. For new students the first couple of minutes will be devoted to doing a few admin things, and giving you a rundown on the studio, where to find everything, and methods and processes of working with clay.

We use an online booking system for all pottery sessions and attendance is strictly by confirmed and paid bookings; we do not accept walk-ins or unbooked visitors.
When using our online booking system you pay a fixed fee of £25 per session for multiple monthly bookings, and £35 for a single drop-in taster session.
(That works out to a cost of only £10 per hour to develop or practice a new hobby!)
You can join and book a session at any time during the month - provided there is session space available - and pay a pro-rated fee for the number of sessions that you book for.
Class duration is 2.5 hours and this includes everything: all clay, glazes, the use of studio tools and equipment, and firing of all pieces (with some exceptions depending on size).
Private sessions can be arranged at £50 per person, per 2.5 hour session - please contact us via email at triyaceramicstudio@gmail.com or WhatsApp us at 077 636 22000 to arrange this.
Payment for other uses, events, materials, tools, or equipment at TCS is by agreement.

YES!
We welcome all levels of potters, from brand new beginners to those who already have some (or lots of) experience.
Our class sizes are kept small to ensure we give the best guidance and value to our students, and for this reason we do give space preference to monthly bookings/recurring students and single sessions will be dependent on whether we have space available.
Children aged 12 and older are welcome to join any studio sessions, provided they are accompanied and supervised by their parent/guardian, and with the understanding that most other students will be adults, and the studio is a creative educational environment, not an entertainment activity venue. We will endeavor to advise on the safest tools for use for younger students and recommend alternatives.
As part of your monthly/session fee you will be provided you with:
standard, all-purpose white earthenware clay,
a variety of pottery tools and materials for hand-building, sculpting, and wheel work,
a basic range of glazes/underglazes, suitable for mixing and layering,
pottery wheels, and other suitable equipment,
storage space for all work produced,
kiln firing of all work (see Studio Rules section on KILN FIRING for exceptions)
Ceramics is not an exact science. Results can vary and be unpredictable. Using the right glazing techniques and trimming and smoothing of items will provide the best results, and we can guide you in this.
The amount, quality, and progress of the items you make while in studio is up to you and the speed and precision you work at. Most items are unlikely to be completed within a single session, but can be completed within two sessions.
The management of any items you make - especially as it relates to drying time and glazing methods - will be entirely up to you and will play a crucial role in the successful completion of your item. While we will advise and guide you in all processes, we cannot guarantee that an item will be successful and not suffer cracking, glaze shivering, or other problems during the process.
We may take photos/videos of life at the studio as well as of student work. These are used on social media to showcase our offering and the work produced. If you would rather not be involved in this please let us know.
